Intermittent Fault Detection & Integrity Testing

Customers can choose to purchase IFDIS™ and VIFD™ test equipment to carry out their own testing or Copernicus Technology can carry out the testing for them: on LRUs, components, wiring looms and installed system wiring looms (including cables on MIL-STD-1553 databus, LON Bus and CAN Bus) on aircraft, trains and other vehicle types.  The testing case studies on this website are all taken from successful test service projects undertaken for our customers.

Our IFD & Integrity testing services can be applied to troubleshooting and solving No Fault Found problems; for Product Assurance during new product development and manufacture; for technical and safety investigations; and for through-life Prognostic & Health Management of critical systems.  All test services are tailored to customers' specific needs.

• We can supply the entire Test Program Set (TPS) for the customer to use with their own IFD testers.  This covers:
  
  
• • Complete set up of the Unit Under Test (UUT) configuration in the testers NODES software
    
    
  • Design and build of the Interface Test Adapters needed to connect the tester to the UUT
    
    
• Or we can provide the total IFD testing service including:
  
  
  • Maintenance & Repair Data Analysis to select candidate UUT for testing
    
    
  • Build of the full TPS
    
    
  • Conducting IFD testing at our site or the customer's (depending on the nature of the UUT)
    
    
  • Issuing the test report, including results summary and recommendations
